REVIEWS
"During my hiking trip in the Dolomites, the poles made it possible to hike for longer, preserving my knees from pain. I couldn’t have done the hikes I did without them!"
"The first time I used the poles they proved their worth. Walking the Sao Lourenco peninsula in Madeira with rocky uneven and steep paths, the poles made a spectacular walk a breeze. Can’t wait for the other five days walking ahead of me."
"The shock element made a real difference on very steep descents in the Mournes where I used them for the first time. They are my third set of pursuit poles and all are still functional, one with three sets of replacement tips over the years. Very impressed with brand" -
WHAT WE THINK
We’ve been really impressed with the Black Diamond Pursuit Shock Trekking Poles—they’re built for comfort and stability, especially when we’re taking on technical terrain or descending steep hills. The shock-absorbing system really makes a difference, helping reduce the impact on our wrists and arms, particularly when we’re dealing with rocky trails or uneven ground. It's like having a cushion for each step.
What stands out to us is how the poles balance weight and durability. They’re not the lightest poles out there, but that extra weight translates into solid performance. We feel confident knowing they’ll hold up over time, even with extended use on long, tough hikes.
The only downside is that, because of the shock-absorbing mechanism, these poles are slightly heavier than some of the other trekking poles we’ve used. If you’re looking for something ultra-light for trail racing or fast packing, you might want to look elsewhere. But for longer hikes where comfort is key, these poles are a great choice. -
