Founded in 1947, Fizan has grown to become one of the largest producers of trekking, Nordic walking, and ski poles. Located just an hour's drive from Venice, Fizan’s headquarters in Rosà near Bassano del Grappa, Italy, are a testament to the company’s commitment to Italian design and craftsmanship evident in every product and detail.
The story of Fizan began with Domenico Fincati, who revolutionized the industry in 1947 by producing the first aluminum ski poles, moving away from the traditional steel or bamboo. Starting with just six pairs of aluminium sticks made in a small room near Bassano's iconic bridge, Fincati set the foundation for Fizan's innovative journey.
By 1973, Fizan had opened its first and only factory in Rosà. The 1990s saw further advancements with the introduction of the first telescopic trekking poles.
In 2007, Fizan introduced the Compact, the lightest trekking pole in the world, weighing only 158 grams. This product remains a best-seller, showcasing Fizan’s ability to balance lightweight design with exceptional strength.
Fizan remains dedicated to producing high-quality, innovative outdoor equipment. From their pioneering aluminum ski poles to their cutting-edge trekking and Nordic walking poles, Fizan combines tradition with technology, making them a leader in the industry.
