Bonfus, a small Italian family business founded by Niccolo and Stefania Bonfadini, epitomises a dedication to crafting ultralight, high-quality outdoor equipment using modern materials and design concepts. Sharing a lifelong passion for outdoor exploration, Niccolo and Stefania found themselves dissatisfied with the standard, mass-produced equipment available in local stores. This dissatisfaction inspired them to create their own ultralight gear, including quilts, down jackets, tents, packs, and various accessories. What began as a hobby evolved into Bonfus, a platform for sharing their meticulously crafted products with like-minded outdoor enthusiasts who value lightweight equipment as a means to fully immerse themselves in nature.

Established in early 2019 and initially operating in Norway, Bonfus has since relocated to Italy and expanded its reach globally. All of their gear is meticulously sewn in-house in Mexico by a team of skilled specialists, allowing Bonfus to maintain control over every aspect of the production process, from concept to delivery.

Bonfus’s design philosophy centres on seamlessly integrating outdoor gear with the experiences of adventurers. Through hands-on development, rigorous testing, and feedback from seasoned hikers, their gear exceeds expectations and facilitates memorable outdoor adventures.

Environmental sustainability is a core value at Bonfus. They consciously select environmentally friendly materials, such as Ultra fabrics with recycled fibres and Dyneema fabrics sourced from bio-based materials, to minimise their ecological footprint while delivering exceptional outdoor gear.
