Originally made in collaboration with the Swedish military as a ration pack. Specialising in lightweight, nutritional and tasty dehydrated pack meals.
Taking a lot of pride in their food, they have their own chefs and product developers. These members of their team bring extensive culinary experience and expertise with them.
Their dried meals average 150g in weight, and each portion offers between 600-700kcal. Once produced they have a shelf-life of 2-3 years.
Drying food is one of the oldest known methods of food preservation, however they were one of the pioneers of producing freeze dried food following the Second World War. This method helps to preserve flavour, colour, consistency and nutrition. It is effective in everything from vegetables to meat and fish. They use different methods depending on the ingredients, i.e. freeze-dried, vacuum-dried, puff-dried or air-dried.
To reconstitute the meal simply add hot (or cold) water. If the water is hot the meal will be ready to eat in 10 minutes approx., or if you use cold water then it will take around 30 minutes.
Since 2016 “wet” ready to eat meals have also formed part of their complete range. This offer 550 kcal per main meal and have a pack weight of 430-450g approx. From the point of packaging the shelf-life on these are between 3-5 years depending on the meal.
