Filled with synthetic insulation, the Torrid Pants offer reliable warmth, even in damp conditions where down would struggle.
The Torrid Pants run half a size up, allowing for a more comfortable, natural fit and providing enough room for layering over base layers or other mid-layers. This extra room makes them a versatile addition to your gear, allowing them to form a key part of a 4-season layering system. The soft, smooth interior feels comfortable against the skin, and the elastic waistband ensures a secure, non-restrictive fit.
During our testing, the Torrid Pants kept us warm during chilly mornings and cold evenings around camp. The synthetic insulation dries quickly, which is a major advantage in wet conditions, although it’s slightly less compressible than down. They provide excellent warmth in moderate to cold temperatures, and the roomier fit allows them to trap more warmth, making them a great choice for multi-day winter trips or 3-season use. -
