We have been using the Thermarest Vesper 20 quilt for over five years on regular wild camping trips throughout summer and winter, as well as on long-distance hikes like the Cleveland Way and the Cumbria Way. We appreciate the quilt’s excellent warmth-to-weight ratio, which comes from the high-quality 900 Fill Goose Nikwax Hydrophobic Down RDS. This down not only provides superior insulation but also resists moisture thanks to the hydrophobic treatment, helping it stay warm and dry in damp conditions. The responsible sourcing certified by RDS is an added reassurance for those who care about ethical gear.
Comfort-wise, the quilt offers plenty of room for movement while maintaining heat efficiently. Its durable 10D Nylon Ripstop shell and lining are lightweight yet strong enough to handle rough outdoor use. Over the years, we have found it reliable and comfortable across a wide range of weather, making it a versatile choice for UK wild camping and multi-day hiking adventures.
