The Classic Quilt is where Valley and Peak began. Designed for three-season British and European conditions, built by hand in small batches in the Lincolnshire Wolds, and refined through years of real-world feedback from hikers, backpackers, and wild campers who've put it through everything you can throw at it.
This isn't a quilt that's been designed by committee and manufactured overseas. Every one is made in-house, by hand, with materials chosen for peak performance.

Why Synthetic
Down is lighter. We know. But British and European trails are wet, and wet down is cold down. Climashield Apex performs when damp, dries fast, and doesn't require the careful storage and maintenance that down demands. For the conditions most of us are actually hiking in, synthetic is the honest choice.

Built for how you actually sleep outside
Generous at the shoulders and chest so you can wrap it fully around you without cold spots or fighting for coverage in the night. Long enough to pull up over your head on genuinely cold nights. A zippered footbox with drawstring closure keeps your feet warm and contained without locking you in. Open it up when temperatures rise. Snap closures along the edge let you dial in exactly how enclosed you want to be.
It works as a standalone quilt, or layer it over a sleeping bag as an overquilt to extend your system into colder conditions.
We firmly believe in making quilts this way and the few extra grams in weight will pay you dividends when you are snug and warm in the wilds rather than struggling with a slimmed down version which could lead to draughts and an uncomfortable night. -
