We are really pleased and proud to annouce that as of today we are retailing the Big Agnes range of truly innovative tents, sleeping bags and mats, camp furniture and accessories. With just over a handful of retailers in the U.K. we are delighted to take on this range after being approached by Big Agnes last autumn to carry their range.
Who are Big Agnes?
Strange name, but great products in a nutshell. Big Agnes are a small innovative US based company from Colorado designing some of the best and in some cases the most popular ultralight backpacking gear around. Known for their tents, they are some of the best we have seen for ultralight backpackers. Recently they have added specific designed tents for the bike -packer, with short poles and handlebar or pannier compatible tents bags.
Innovation hasn't stop there, their range of sleeping bags get our seal of approval, for people who hate the confines of a tight Mummy style bag, we appreciate the innovation of the Torchlight UL sleeping bag range
And the strange name? No Big Agnes wasn't the founder of the business! but a 12,000 foot mountain close to where the company is based. Imagine living and working just a few a minutes from the Colorado Rockies - bound to make you design just the right gear that backpackers, bike - packers and campers want!

Introducing Solution Dyed Fabrics for 2021
Big Agnes is the first to introduce solution-dyed tent body and flysheet fabrics to the equipment category. The result is better for the environment and the high UV resistance of the solution-dyed fabrics improves the quality of their tents. Improving already great tents isn’t easy, choosing to lessen the environmental impact while doing so is.
Solution-dyed fabric is highly resistant to UV fade and drastically reduces energy consumption and water use during manufacturing, a process that is better for the environment and improves the quality of the tent fabric
Sleeping bags and mats
The Torchlight UL range really caught our eye for those who don't want to go to a quilt or even a hybrid sleeping bag/quilt but still feel restricted by a traditional mummy style sleeping bag - the Torchlight UL range may be for you. With expandable panels you can choose which part of the sleeping bag where you want more room or not. At the footbox, your hips, your shoulders - you choose, your choice. Available in two temperatures ratings and men and women specific designs.
Sleeping Mats
At Big Agnes, they insist that their air mats cushion you with at least 8 cm of air between your hips and the ground. Even in their lightest-weight air mats, you can count on that. They use internal construction that stabilises your sleeping surface so that your mat feels more like your bed at home. The outer tubes are always a little thicker than the inner so that you are comfortably cradled in the middle of the mat. The valves help you inflate your mat quickly, deflate it easily, and make micro-adjustments throughout the night with a simple pressure release that gives you control over how firm or soft your surface is. Camp furniture
A great range of furniture including ultralight compact backpacking chairs such the Skyline UL Chair and Skyline UL Stool with fully shock-corded architecture for simple set up and break down and colour-coded frames for easy set up. The patented hub-less frame construction make for a smaller pack size with enhanced comfort through pre-bent poles that create a wider, more stable seat.
