Who are Big Agnes?
Strange name, but great products in a nutshell. Big Agnes are a small innovative US based company from Colorado designing some of the best and in some cases the most popular ultralight backpacking gear around. Known for their tents, they are some of the best we have seen for ultralight backpackers. Recently they have added specific designed tents for the bike -packer, with short poles and handlebar or pannier compatible tents bags.
Innovation hasn't stop there, their range of sleeping bags get our seal of approval, for people who hate the confines of a tight Mummy style bag, we appreciate the innovation of the Torchlight UL sleeping bag range
And the strange name? No Big Agnes wasn't the founder of the business! but a 12,000 foot mountain close to where the company is based. Big Agnes is the first to introduce solution-dyed tent body and flysheet fabrics to the equipment category. The result is better for the environment and the high UV resistance of the solution-dyed fabrics improves the quality of their tents. Improving already great tents isn’t easy, choosing to lessen the environmental impact while doing so is.
Solution-dyed fabric is highly resistant to UV fade and drastically reduces energy consumption and water use during manufacturing, a process that is better for the environment and improves the quality of the tent fabric

The Big Agnes Kings Canyon Ultralight quilt is ideal for hut trips, couch surfing, or warm summer nights thru-hiking. Designed as a minimalist quilt that you can tuck around yourself using the top corner hand pockets. Works well as an extra layer over your sleeping bag to provide more warmth. Integrated snap system creates simplified mummy bag for colder nights. Affix your quilt to your pad to create a secure sleep system using the includes 10 snap patches. Big Agnes Sleeping Mats
At Big Agnes, they insist that their air mats cushion you with at least 8 cm of air between your hips and the ground. Even in their lightest-weight air mats, you can count on that. They use internal construction that stabilises your sleeping surface so that your mat feels more like your bed at home.
