WHAT WE THINK
The Big Agnes Rapide SL Insulated Sleeping Mat is our top choice. This mat strikes a perfect balance between insulation, durability, and packability, making it ideal for three-season use.
Using this in colder months we've found the R-Value rating to be very accurate. We love how easily it inflates and deflates, with a compact design that rolls up neatly into its stuff sack, saving precious space in your pack. One minor drawback, however, is that the mat can be a bit tricky to get fully inflated without a pump or additional effort, especially in colder temperatures when the air is less conducive for inflating. But overall, the Rapide SL offers fantastic comfort and warmth for anyone looking to upgrade their sleep system on the trail.
The Rapide is a firm favourite for our wild campers in the office.
