Platypus QuickDraw Microfilter
FILTER WATER FAST WITH THE COMPACT AND ULTRALIGHT QUICKDRAW MICROFILTER
Improve your backpacking filtering experience with the do-it-all QuickDraw Filter. Hollow fibre technology allows the QuickDraw to filter water fast (3L/m) while remaining compact and ultralight 69g. It’s designed to work seamlessly with a wide range of bottles and reservoirs, empowering you to assemble a filter system tailored to your preferences.
The dirty side I/O (inner/outer) threads attach to QuickDraw reservoirs as well as common narrow-mouth bottles like smartwater® and most Platy bottles. On the clean side, select between the DrinkCap for drinking and pouring and the ConnectCap™ that attaches to narrow-mouth bottles. The filter is built to be safe, effortless, and long-lasting. Two cleaning methods—shake-to-clean and backflushing—keep the filter flowing fast throughout your trip, while the Integrity Check process allows you to ensure it’s still safely filtering water. So, choose your colour, pick your vessels, and head out with a fast, effective and super-easy water filter system that’s all yours.

What We think
The Platypus QuickDraw is a brilliantly simple and lightweight water filter system - perfect for backpacking, and any trip where keeping your pack weight down is key really. It’s compact, easy to use, and even fits neatly into the smallest side pocket of my pack!
Using it couldn’t be more straightforward. Fill the included 1L Platy bottle (helpfully marked “dirty” to avoid any mix-ups) from your water source, screw on the QuickDraw filter (also clearly labeled with “dirty” and “clean” ends), and squeeze the water through.
With the cap flipped open, you can drink straight from the spout on the clean end or decant the filtered water into another bottle or reservoir - whatever suits your setup.
The QuickDraw does an excellent job of removing bacteria and protozoa, though like most filters, it won’t catch waterborne viruses. The supplied Platy bottle is tough and taste-free thanks to its double-layer construction, but the filter is compatible with other bottles too, giving you a bit of flexibility.
Cleaning is super easy - just backwash by giving it a good shake. The filter itself will last for around 1,000 litres (264 gallons), though the Platy bottle is durable enough to keep using long after the filter’s done its job.
This is a solid, no-fuss option for anyone who wants a lightweight, reliable water filter on the trail. -
