WHAT WE THINK
At Valley and Peak, we’ve taken the Big Agnes Rapide SL Pillow on a number of our trips, and it’s become one of our favourite ultralight travel pillows for bikepacking and backpacking.
What we love about the Rapide SL Pillow is how simple and comfortable it is. It’s made with a soft stretch polyester fabric that feels great against your skin, and the design is well thought out to provide support without being too bulky.
That said, one small drawback is that it can be a little slippery on some sleeping pads. The smooth fabric can slide around a bit if you’re a restless sleeper, but it’s not a dealbreaker. To counter that, we’ve found that a small adjustment or two throughout the night usually keeps it in place. If you're someone who likes a super firm pillow or one with a very high profile, this one might not give you the firmness you’re looking for, but for most people, the comfort level is great for a good night’s sleep. -
