What we think
The Big Agnes Greystone 0 is a well-designed four-season down sleeping bag that offers an excellent balance of warmth, packability and comfort for a wide range of UK adventures. With its 650-fill DownTek water-repellent down, it performs reliably in cooler, damp conditions, making it ideal for spring through to early autumn when temperatures can still dip during the night.
At Valley and Peak, we see it as a dependable choice for wild camping, backpacking and multi-day trips where you want to keep weight and bulk to a minimum without sacrificing a good night’s sleep. While it is not the lightest bag in the Big Agnes range, it offers good value for the warmth and features included.
The mummy-style fit is snug enough to trap warmth effectively, but still roomy enough for most sleepers to move comfortably. Useful features such as the draft collar, no-draft zip and shaped footbox all help improve warmth and comfort through the night.
The Greystone 0 is well suited to most three-season conditions here in the UK, whether you are pitched up in the hills, camping in the woods or out on a coastal trail. For true winter conditions or particularly cold sleepers, a warmer bag may be worth considering, but for most users, this strikes a great middle ground.
