WHAT WE THINK
We've been using the Big Agnes Copper Spur HV UL2 Footprint as part of our setup for the Copper Spur HV UL2 Tent, and it’s proven to be a worthwhile addition. The footprint fits the tent perfectly, offering extra protection for the tent floor from rocks, sharp objects, and dirt. It’s made from durable, weather-resistant materials, which helps keep the underside of the tent in great shape, especially during longer trips or when camping on rough terrain.
It attaches quickly to the tent’s grommets and webbing loops, providing a secure fit and additional waterproofing under the tent floor, which is useful during wet conditions. We’ve found it adds an extra layer of peace of mind when it comes to prolonging the life of the tent and keeping it clean.
It does however add a bit of weight to your overall setup. While it’s not a huge increase, if you're aiming for the lightest possible pack, the footprint might not be essential, especially if you're camping on well-maintained ground.
Overall, the Copper Spur HV UL2 Footprint is a great way to protect your tent and keep it in top condition, making it a solid investment if you want to extend the life of your Copper Spur tent and protect it from rough ground and wear. If weight isn’t a major concern for you, it’s definitely worth considering. -
