We took it along on a recent trip to the Peak District, and it definitely helped safeguard the tarp's underside against rough or rocky ground. The footprint adds a layer of protection from sharp objects like rocks, sticks, or even moisture from the ground—particularly useful in the wetter conditions we sometimes get in the UK.

    It’s incredibly lightweight and packs down small, so it doesn’t add much bulk to your setup.
