A real upgrade from the usual scrunched-up jacket or stuff sack of clothes, the Therm-a-Rest Air Head Pillow offers an excellent balance of comfort, support and packability. Its contoured shape cradles your head well, and the soft brushed polyester cover gives it a cosy feel that avoids the usual plasticky or cold sensation common with inflatable pillows.
Dan, our in-house gear expert, and Ash Routen, one of our brand ambassadors, tested this pillow during their Arctic expedition across Finland’s frozen Lake Inari. After long days pulling pulks in sub-zero temperatures, this bit of comfort made all the difference in helping them rest and recover. With its compact packed size and effective insulation from the cold, it proved its worth in some seriously demanding conditions.
