"This was my first tent, and I've used it for backpacking all over the world. It's a great tent and I love it a lot! Its super lightweight and is a really good fit for smaller areas because of the semi freestanding nature. While I have gotten two people in it, it was pretty cosy and has been a really good fit for just myself and my gear on longer trips. Not nearly as much headspace as the Copper Spur or Hubba Hubba but a good size. Its super easy to set up alone and I've done it may times in pitch dark once I got to know it!"

WHAT WE THINK
One of the key highlights of the Fly Creek HV UL2 is its ultralight design. Weighing in at just over 900g, it’s one of the lightest two-person tents available, making it perfect for bikepackers who need to keep their gear load as light as possible without sacrificing comfort.
Despite its minimal weight, the Fly Creek HV UL2 still manages to provide a surprisingly roomy interior with more headroom and floor space than you might expect. The high-volume architecture allows for better use of space, giving you room to sit up comfortably and store your gear inside without feeling cramped.
In terms of weather protection, the Fly Creek HV UL2 holds its own. The rainfly provides great coverage, and the mesh panels keep things breathable, reducing condensation while still keeping the elements out. Whether you're facing wind, rain, or just a chilly night, the tent’s sturdy construction ensures you’ll stay dry and comfortable. It’s a great option for 3-season bikepacking, providing peace of mind that you’ll have reliable shelter in a variety of conditions.
That said, there are a couple of things we noticed that could be improved. First, the interior storage space is pretty minimal. While the vestibules give you plenty of room for gear outside, the tent itself doesn’t have a ton of internal pockets or storage options. Small items like headlamps, phones, or snacks end up on the ground or in the gear loft. If you like to keep things organized inside the tent or have easy access to your essentials without digging through your bag, the lack of internal storage options can be a bit frustrating.
the second issue we found is the floor space. While it’s roomy enough for two people, it’s definitely a tight fit if you have a lot of gear. If you’re used to having a bit more space to spread out inside your shelter, the Fly Creek HV UL2 might feel cramped, especially with gear stashed inside at night. It’s not a dealbreaker, but it’s something to consider if you’re planning a longer bikepacking trip and want more space to move around or store gear inside.
