The ENO SingleNest 1 Person Hammock is a compact and comfortable option for solo adventurers, and it’s a piece of gear that the Valley and Peak team put to the test during our summer woodland camping trips. Overall, it impressed us with its comfort and practicality, though there are a few things worth considering.
Setting up the hammock is quick and simple, which is perfect when you just want to relax and enjoy your surroundings without spending too much time on gear. The soft, durable nylon fabric provides a comfortable resting spot, and despite being designed for one person, there’s still ample space to stretch out and lounge. We used it for everything from taking naps during the day to unwinding after a long hike—perfect for those laid-back woodland moments.
One of the standout features is how lightweight and portable the SingleNest is. It packs down small and is easy to carry, making it ideal for minimalist campers or anyone who’s looking to save space in their pack. During our woodland camps, it was a great addition to our setup for some quality downtime, whether that was lounging under the trees or simply relaxing at the end of the day.
That being said, the hammock doesn’t come with built-in insulation, so if you plan on using it in cooler weather, you’ll need to bring a sleeping pad or under quilt to keep warm through the night. For summer woodland camping, we found it to be perfect, but it may not be the best option if you're venturing into colder conditions.
All in all, the ENO SingleNest 1 Person Hammock is a fantastic choice for anyone looking for comfort, portability, and easy setup. Whether you're lounging during the day or sleeping under the stars, it offers great value for solo campers, especially in milder weather conditions like we experienced on our woodland camps. Just be sure to plan for additional insulation if you're heading out in cooler climates. -
