WHAT WE THINK
We recently took the Common Gear UL Gravity Hang System with us on our hike along the Yorkshire Wolds Way, and it proved to be an incredibly useful and convenient piece of kit for collecting and filtering water on the trail. The system is designed to work with a compatible water filter (we used it with a separate filter system we already had), and its lightweight, hands-free design made it an absolute game-changer when it came to staying hydrated without extra effort.
We appreciated how hands-free the process was. While the bladder hung from a tree, we could focus on other camp tasks like setting up our tent or preparing dinner. The water filtration process took a little longer than with some pump filters—about 15-20 minutes for a couple of litres—but the trade-off was worth it for the ease of use.
Overall, the Common Gear UL Gravity Hang System was a great addition to our gear on the Yorkshire Wolds Way. It’s a lightweight, simple solution for filtering water, and the hands-free nature of the system made it incredibly convenient.
