We have been adding to our store with three new product ranges, with lots more to follow next year after successful meeetings with manufacturers at this year OIA (Outdoor Industries Trade Show) back in July.

FIZAN trekking poles

Fizan Compact 4

A favourite with us for many years due to its extremely light weight but durable design. In fact Fizan claim that their Compact Trekking Poles are the lightest 3 section poles in the world at a mere 158 g each.  Made from ALU 7001, with excellent graphics, a wide range of colours and carbide tips, these poles come with a pair of both 35mm and 50mm baskets included to allow for year-round walking on mixed terrains.

Twist lock to hold the poles at your desired length. The pole handles are ergonomic and have easily adjusted straps.

We also stock a range of spares for replacement of worn or damaged parts

Petzl

Petzl Zipka

With the autumn upon us and the nights starting to draw in, as I type, the last blast of warm weather is here for a few more days. Before you know it, darker nights and mornings will be upon us.  Whether you are out camping or just out catching the last of the day's sunshine and then heading off home, a head torch becomes an indispensible piece of equipment to carry right through to next spring.  Needing an up grade? - look no further as we are now stocking Petzl.  From a basic head torch to a 500 lumens power-house with multiple LEDs to provide homogeneous light distribution, there is something for all needs and budgets.

Gregory Packs

Gregory Stout 45

Feature rich packs that are ultra comfortable is how I would describe our latest range offering from Gregory, a well established manuafacturer of high quality backpacks. Well thought out design features such as the Free float system.

The new Free Float system incorporates adjustable torso length into its tensioned, open-air backpanel.  Free Float flex panels allow the hipbelt to pivot and flex with the natural movements of your body. This provides a floating sensation on the trail, and allows the hipbelt to wrap smoothly and comfortably around you lower back and hips.

Another smart feature is the Trail Access Side Stretch Pocket, a clever way of getting your water bottle out while on the move, without attemping to dislocate your shoulder!   Neat touches such as the Sunglasses quick stow on one of the shoulder straps and the easy accesible rain cover, which is included in the price of  each backpack.  Initially we are concentrating on the higher volume backpacking range, from 45-60 litres, but will be adding day packs in the future.
