All exposed areas of the outer fabric are reinforced with Dyneema, the world’s strongest fibre, making this tent an excellent choice for withstanding the rigours of the wild.
FEATURES OF THE VERN 2
- The silnylon flysheet is waterproof, but to ensure 100% waterproof seams, they should be treated with a silicone mixture.
- A dense tent can challenge air circulation, leading to condensation on the outer flysheet. Thus, ventilation is crucial. Vern 2 features four air valves: two at the bottom for fresh air intake and one above each entrance for moist air exit. The top valves also provide an extra overhang to protect against rain when the entrance is open.
- Vern 2 includes two spacious awnings for storing backpacks, shoes, and cooking equipment. The inner tent comfortably fits two sleeping pads (190x60 cm) alongside gear and clothes.
- For colder days, the inner tent doors can be sealed completely. On warmer days, they can be opened while still allowing mosquito netting to protect against insects. There are eight storage pockets in the inner tent for organising small items.
- Both entrances can be opened to connect with nature, yet the design maintains shelter from harsh weather. In stormy conditions, the tent can be fully closed, and cooking can still be done in the awning. Vern 2 offers versatile options for enjoying the outdoors while staying protected from wind and rain.
- Designed for four-season use, Vern 2 can be enhanced with a crossing pole for additional stability in snow or extreme weather, making it partially free-standing and robust against settling snow.
